When the rolling speed is high, with angular contact ball bearings, not only the limit speed is high, and the work of the axial clearance can be strictly controlled. So that the rolls get close axial guidance, and can withstand the general axial load force. This bearing configuration type not only has a long bearing life, high reliability, but also has a high precision of the finished product, easy to control and many other advantages, so the application is more widely used, more for wire rod mill, plate mill, foil mill, double support roller mill cold rolling mill and hot rolling mill support roller.

Four-row cylindrical roller bearings and six-row cylindrical roller bearings are almost all used in the rolling mill frame of the roll neck, roller and rolling press. Compared with other roller bearings, these bearings have low friction. As these bearings are usually mounted on the roll neck with an interference fit, they are particularly suitable for applications in rolling mills with high rolling speeds. The low cross-section of these bearings allows the use of relatively large roll neck diameters compared to the roll diameter. Due to the very large number of rollers that can be fitted, their radial load capacity is very high.
